Position Summary:

As Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will be leading amulticultural, world-class team. You will be responsible forassisting in the management of all Housekeeping functions and teammembers onboard. In addition, you will have the opportunity totravel the world while working for a top global employer ofchoice.

Responsibilities:
  • In accordance with Royal Caribbean International?s philosophy ofAnchored in Excellence, each employee conducts oneself in aprofessional and courteous manner at all times. This applies tophysical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboardemployees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crewareas.
  • Manages both the Front and Back of House Housekeeping areas. Onships with 2 Assistant Executive Housekeepers completes 2 monthsmanaging Back of House and 2 months managing Front of House. Oasisclass with 3 Assistant Executive Housekeepers one is assigned Backof House and the other two manage Front of House (deck 17 thru 10and deck 7 thru 2) on a rotation basis.
  • Supports and reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

Oversees alloperational aspects of all Housekeeping and Laundry and LinenOperations, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and presentationstandards are managed to brand standards in all Housekeeping areas,including all guest staterooms and balconies, guest corridors,officer cabins, laundry, lockers, ice stations and storage areas inboth the front and back of house. Maintains front-of-houseoperational presence and is completely responsible for stateroominspection processes, ensuring feedback is delivered inconstructive and appropriate manner with emphasis on positivereinforcement. Assists Executive Housekeeper in managing alladministrative and back of house duties and responsibilities.

  • Responsible for providing day to day operational management toall team members, and takes ownership and accountability forreacting to guest feedback and requests effectively andefficiently. Works closely with the Guest Services Manager and teamto ensure guest complaints and concerns are addressed in prompt,empathetic, and customer centric manner.
  • Partners with Executive Housekeeper to permanently resolverecurring service failures through root cause analysis andeffective problem solving techniques.

Manages all housekeepingrelated entries in ship?s Guest Log, and ensures it is utilized totrack status of all guest issues in timely fashion. Practices soundbusiness sense in an ethical manner at all times. Enforces andassists shipboard senior management team in the facilitation of the?

Guest Conduct Policy?.

  • Oversees all Housekeeping Training activities, includingclassroom style and on-the-job training, ensuring team membersstrengthen their current performance and are being developed forsuccession planning.

Demonstrates strong ability to coach anddevelop team members on effective problem resolution skills andaptitudes. This includes training for the entire Management andSupervisor team along with all crew members within the division. Isthe sole owner of all training for Stateroom Attendants that areworking Back of House including new hires and newly promoted. Thistraining is not limited to but includes the Computer basedtraining, role plays, practical sessions, power points and alltraining records must be updated as per the Training matrix.

Supports the Deck and Senior Supervisors identifying trainingopportunities within their teams.

  • Manages and supervises the entire luggage operation on the lastnight of the cruise to ensure all guest luggage is removed fromcorridors and placed in the appropriate luggage carts. Fullysupervises the Luggage support team from other divisions and workswith the Linen keeper and assigned Facilities supervisor andenforces WPS practices.
  • Supports Laundry Master and all Laundry and Linen Operationsonboard and provides operational support to enable delivery ofservices and products flawlessly and on a consistent basis.

GuidesLaundry Master to ensure all laundry equipment is maintained ingood working order and maintenance is planned as necessary. Managesregular and consistent linen inventory process to ensure theoperation has adequate linen and terry par levels to meet thebusiness demands. Provides guidance for all other laundry relatedoperations such as revenue reporting, time and attendance, SQMpolicies, etc.
