To assist in managing and directing of all housekeeping functions; Participate in quality assurance and cost control measures for the Housekeeping Department. To provide support to the Director of Housekeeping in all areas of the Housekeeping Operation and to meet IDILIQ’s standards by monitoring quality assurance, and consistently setting a good example.
Responsibilities:
Approach all encounters with guests and Team Members in a professional, service-oriented manner. Verify home status, determine discrepant homes, prioritize home cleaning, and update status of departing guest homes. Conduct daily inspections of guest homes. Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes on assignment sheets/work boards. Handle guest complaints and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas to service guests. Train and coach Team Members on expected standards of service and conduct. Report and follow up with engineering issues. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service. Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests Assists Executive Housekeeper with all of the following departmental functions and concerns: assist with opening shift, maintaining turnover to an acceptable level, maintaining uniform control, purchasing and issuance, guest requests, daily meetings, quality assurance in public space and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, submit orders if purchasing linen and supplies is needed, assist with scheduling, payroll cost controls. Monitor Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained. Maintaining close communication and interaction with Front Desk and Engineering departments, reporting all maintenance issues. Inspects the cleaning and servicing of all homes, and inspects all vacant homes on a daily basis. Responsible for overseeing the Housemen, ensuring that they are working appropriately with GRA’s, and that they are completing all daily housemen duties/special projects. Assists in maintaining standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest homes/guest experience. Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Able to communicate in the English and Spanish languages. Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks. Prior Housekeeping Supervisory Experience in Hospitality. Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment, machinery. Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to communicate clearly with guests, Team Members, and Housekeeping staff. High School Diploma or GED / College Degree preferred. Must be highly motivated and have the ability to Multi-task. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work well with limited supervision. Must have the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
