The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the department Manager in maintaining a quality standard of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital. This position is full time and includes working every other weekend: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. This position is located at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Requires:

3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Environmental Services related field.

Performs team member functions including:

Interviewing, hiring, selecting, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and terminations Scheduling, training, and payroll Organizes the receiving, storing, and inventory of supplies to meet service requirements Plans work schedules and assigns hours and areas of work to ensure adequate services for all areas of the hospital Responsible for training and supervising environmental services team members Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital – recommends painting, repairs, furnishing and refurnishing, relocation of equipment and re-allocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance and efficiency Investigates and evaluates new environmental procedures, supplies and equipment Responsible for performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements Responsible for maintaining the records for hazardous waste and regulated medical waste Conducts monthly meetings in the absence of the Manager or Director Oversees the daily huddles and topics of discussion Collaborates with other Managers on the clinical units to gain cooperation for improving HCAHPS scores related to cleanliness Role model for the Housekeeping team members Must be able to perform all Housekeeping duties as needed Demonstrates the ability to work independently Assumes Manager duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
