This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.201) for this occupion. Duties Duties may include, but not limited to: Responsible for assigning staff for routine and non-routine duties on a daily and a project-by-project basis Reorganize work schedules efficiently to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner Responsible for the cleaning of all pient areas, corridor spaces throughout the Medical Center, Opering Rooms, and all other areas as assigned Responsible for assuring the efficient and economical accomplishment of work assignments of subordines within established policies and schedules set by higher levels of supervision Plans daily and weekly assignments, scheduling periodic work for areas Trains staff and ensure th they are using the pient centered care principles in terms of customer service to pients, pients’ family members and personnel Provides on-the job training for subordines as individual needs dicte Schedules regular meetings with staff to make them aware of new procedures or directives Keeps subordines abreast of proper methods, procedures and uses of equipment and supplies; control the use of supplies and equipment to affect cost control within the unit May supervise the daily distribution of uniforms and textiles to the designed areas and persons and ensures record keeping is timely and accure Responsible for the coordinion of activities with other services, including re-arranging work schedules during remodeling, painting and relocion of offices, clinics or pient wards and other duties which help coordine moves Routinely inspects assigned areas to assure the timely accomplishment of employee assignments, sanition levels are maintained, equipment properly cared for and th associed housekeeping objectives are accomplished in an expedient and timely manner
