About the Role Spiegelworld is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Hook within Caesars in Atlantic City. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for providing friendly, courteous service to guests while supervising and assisting the porters during deep cleaning in their assigned area of the Theater and Restaurant. The supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the venue in between shows and the bi-nightly performances as well as the restaurant throughout the evenings. They must also display a strong commitment to guest service through the delivery and maintenance of our Service Standards, Safety & Accident Procedures and Standard Operating Procedure. The supervisor will be part of the front of house team that is committed to providing the best guest experience. The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the Venue & Ticketing Manager. This is a full-time position and the pay is $24/hour. What You’ll Do Effectively develop and mentor hourly employees to ensure departmental standards and goals are understood and met. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience. Train and coach, all new team members on department policies and procedures including the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), daily/nightly job duties, safe usage and maintenance of supplies, established hospitality standards, and any other tasks assigned by management. Willing to be the liaison between team members and management to ensure continual smooth operations in the absence of management. Report any issues or disturbances amongst the team members to management as soon as they are identified. Assist in creating and maintaining an inventory manifest and reporting low inventory in a timely manner. Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and safe manner. Daily inspections of performance to ensure quality and cleanliness of assigned areas. Strategically assign lunches to maintain the workflow during the show run. Quickly respond to biohazard incidents such as urine, blood, vomit, feces, etc. Reports maintenance needs and emergency repairs to the manager promptly. Ensure protection against the unauthorized access and theft of confidential or sensitive data, specifically privileged information. Turn in all lost and found items to security within a reasonable timeframe. Safely perform all job duties using personal protective equipment. Comply with all department policies/procedures and service guarantees. Attend all training classes as requested. Provide courteous, efficient, and prompt service to guests following established hospitality standards, including making eye contact, smiling, and offering a warm and friendly greeting using appropriate language. Respond to inquiries from fellow employees and/or guests. Assist the team with pre-service and nightly duties as required when staffing is low to complete all daily/nightly duties. Adhere to established grooming and appearance standards, including maintaining a clean and well-maintained uniform. Assist the Ticketing and Venue Management team in maintaining union Porter employees and other team members to ensure the overall success of the operations. Other duties as assigned by your manager. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures. What You Bring At least six months of related experience in a theater, bar, lounge, nightclub, or full-service restaurant in a luxury setting. (1 year preferred) High school diploma or equivalent. Passionate about guest service and delivering the best guest experience each and every time. Work calmly and efficiently under pressure. Ability to initiate conversations with others in a polished, professional manner. Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated. Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking and fully comprehending English Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience. Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required, present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards. At least 21 years of age. Successful background check clearance prior to hire Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed. Must have valid work authorization for the US. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires basic math. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions. Work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Must bend, reach, stoop or kneel; climb, ascend and descend stairs; maintain equilibrium. Work requires visual abilities needed to safely operate motorized equipment. Work requires attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work. Ability to receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff. Ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift.
