Executive Housekeeper The Roxy Hotel – 3.5 New York, NY Job Details Full-time $90,000 – $105,000 a year 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Hospitality Mid-level 3 years Supervising experience Housekeeping management Cleaning Communication skills Hotel experience Full Job Description The Executive Housekeeper at The Roxy Hotel is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, managing the team, schedules, room assignments and by controlling and maintaining expenses and budgets. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, be a motivating manager, and demonstrate a deep understanding of operating the housekeeping department and meeting the needs of the guest. They must possess knowledge of various types of cleaning methods for example: carpet extraction, stripping and waxing, carpet care wood floor care, and other types of flooring and be hands on in the guest rooms and public spaces in training the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of housekeeping management experience working in high volume luxury hotel of 100 rooms plus

ABILITY TO

Hire, train and supervise all housekeeping team members Complete scheduling of all housekeeping team members according to the weekly forecast Control and take inventory of all orders and all housekeeping supplies, according to procedure and par levels Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect by encouraging positive team member relations by talking positively in all cases about the Hotel, the Organization, Management and Team Members Conduct monthly departmental meetings including agenda provided by team members Conduct pre-shift meetings to discuss important work issues for the upcoming work shift Purchase and track all equipment and supplies Eye for detail along with the ability, understanding and skills seeing all deficiencies throughout the property, when conducting daily walkthroughs of all spaces Control use of keys, materials, uniforms and equipment Control inventories and linen distribution Develop smooth interdepartmental relationships, and cooperating with other department heads Empower to make decisions on behalf of the hotel to satisfy the guest Provide on-going coaching to ensure success and meet cleanliness standards.
