Housekeeping Inspector Residence Inn – a Chartwell hotel 500 Broadhollow Road, Melville, NY 11747 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality and an eye for detail, making it essential for the success of our housekeeping operations. Duties Ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Manage laundry services by washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low. Follow established procedures for cleaning and disinfecting to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by housekeeping management. Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or custodial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with hotel or industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is beneficial. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
