Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and efficiency, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service in the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting rooms: Thoroughly checking guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and adherence to standards.
Assessing cleanliness:
Evaluating the work of housekeepers and identifying areas for improvement.
Tracking room status:
Maintaining records of room availability, occupancy, and cleaning status.
Coordinating with other departments:
Collaborating with Front Desk, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Addressing guest complaints:
Responding to guest inquiries and complaints regarding cleanliness, service, and maintenance.
Assisting with training:
Providing guidance and support to housekeepers, and potentially assisting with their training.
Maintaining housekeeping storage areas:
Keeping storage areas clean, tidy, and organized.
Completing reports:
Preparing daily housekeeping reports and documenting maintenance requests.
Additional Tasks:
Perform cleaning guest room / public area duties during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in hotel or hospitality settings. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Knowledge of housekeeping management practices is a plus. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. A commitment to providing outstanding service in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
