Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 36 Bazeberry Road, Cordova, TN 38018 Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab is looking for a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor responsible for the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments including staffing, supply ordering, and supervision. Essential Duties Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures. Acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs. Supervises staff and assists with the day-to-day collection, laundering, and distribution of linens, garments, etc. in accordance with Company procedures. Monitors that resident’s personal items are safeguarded. Supervises staff and assists in all aspects of cleaning and maintaining the Facility interior and grounds; verifies that resident rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner and that resident’s personal items are safeguarded. Verifies that cleaning schedules are followed, and coordinates daily housekeeping services with other departments. Coordinates daily laundry services with other departments. Develops long range, short range, and daily plans for the housekeeping service of the Facility. Trains and directs staff, schedules adequate coverage, and evaluates work performance. Prepares requisitions for necessary supplies and equipment and submits these with an emphasis on inventory control. Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping and supervising roles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in managing laundry, janitorial, and custodial services
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle commercial cleaning tasks efficiently
