Full Job Description Job Summary:

A Facilities Custodian Professional ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment by performing a range of custodial and minor maintenance duties. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety and operational procedures while working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain clean floors through sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing. Empty and clean trash receptacles; collect and sort recyclable materials. Clean, disinfect, and restock bathrooms and restrooms. Service and maintain custodial equipment as required. Perform minor maintenance and repair work on furniture, buildings, and equipment. Report potential safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate personnel. Lock and unlock windows, doors, and gates to secure the premises. Maintain cleanliness and organization in outdoor and grounds areas.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Prior custodial and groundskeeping experience preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively. Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable with bending, squatting, twisting, and kneeling during tasks. Knowledge of custodial methods, materials, and best practices. Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights. Familiarity with using, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment and supplies.
