This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, particularly in environments such as hospitals and commercial spaces. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for implementing effective cleaning protocols, adhering to OSHA regulations, and promoting a safe and sanitary environment for all staff and visitors. Duties Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of designated areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Implement floor care procedures, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as required. Collaborate with the environmental services team to maintain cleanliness in hospital settings and other commercial facilities. Monitor supplies and equipment used for cleaning tasks, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition. Train custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols related to OSHA regulations. Perform routine inspections of cleaned areas to ensure adherence to established cleanliness standards. Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special requests from management or staff. Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning or environmental services is preferred. Familiarity with hospital cleaning protocols and custodial responsibilities is a plus. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing additional cleaning or maintenance. Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
