Janitorial Worker 2:00PM – 10:00PM Monday – Friday $16.00/hour Job Description As a Janitorial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, using commercial cleaning equipment, vacuuming rugs, and cleaning and dusting furniture and surfaces. You will also be tasked with washing windows and glass, cleaning bathrooms, and ensuring supplies are restocked. Additionally, you will monitor facility conditions, report defects, and manage waste collection. Responsibilities Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings. Operate light and heavy commercial cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and shampoo machines. Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, spot clean and shampoo as directed. Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, and other surfaces, including periodic high dusting. Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows. Clean glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior. Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, following standard procedures. Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out to supervisors. Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers. Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways as directed. Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing. Complete any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in housekeeping and custodial duties. Proficiency in using cleaning and janitorial equipment. Ability to perform tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning efficiently. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $16.00/hr.
