Janitor 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 218 Arad Thompson Rd Ne, Arab, AL 35016 Under the direction of HR/ESH, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. This can include mopping & vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash cans.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in assigned areas Emptying and cleaning trash cans Restocking supplies like paper towels, soap, and cleaning products Disinfecting and cleaning surfaces such as countertops, sinks, and mirrors Reporting any safety hazards or facility concerns Ensuring all assigned areas are clean, organized, and presentable
HEALTH & SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conformance to company personnel, safety, quality and housekeeping policies, procedures and practices. Report equipment safety deficiencies through proper channels. Wear or use proper PPE as required per the Employee Handbook policy. Always perform work safely.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One year of proven working experience as a Janitor. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets. Integrity and ability to work independently. Follows written and verbal instructions. Collaborates with other workers as needed. Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
