In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment within the hospital setting, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other hospital facilities. Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment for various surfaces, including floor care and custodial tasks. Follow established protocols for infection control and environmental services to ensure a safe healthcare environment. Monitor and maintain cleanliness supplies inventory, reporting any shortages to management. Adhere to safety guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Assist in special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks. Requirements Previous experience in commercial cleaning or environmental services is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with OSHA standards related to hospital cleaning practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must have a valid shot record as required by hospital policy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Physical capability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment or materials as needed.
