The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct buffing and polishing of floors to ensure they remain in excellent condition. Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings as needed. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of the building. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain an organized work schedule. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages to management. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with floor care practices, including buffing and polishing methods. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
