Job Summary:
The Custodial Team Lead provides guidance and leadership to custodians in the performance of day-to-day duties. Performs routine manual work in housekeeping and cleaning of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, polishes and dusts furniture, and cleans restrooms, windows, blinds, mirrors, etc. in buildings across campus.

Department Summary:
Completes all tasks on custodian’s building task lists as well as all general cleaning. Provides quality customer service. Demonstrates supportive behavior by utilizing positive interpersonal skills. Provides helpful and friendly assistance in a timely manner. Responds to inquires in a timely and efficient manner. Meets regular attendance requirements. Works overtime as scheduled. Observes and adheres to all safety rules and regulations closely as listed on product and equipment labels and as directed by management. Leaves work site clean and orderly. Ensures that all tools and equipment are cleaned and materials are secured. Accomplishes the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of custodial experience.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to reach and lift arms above head. Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to use job-related tools, equipment, and chemical supplies.
Must have valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some supervisory or work leadership experience.
