Shop Janitor 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 767 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT 06033 Description of the role: The Shop Janitor at Monaco Ford is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our automotive repair shops in Glastonbury, Connecticut. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and efficient work environment for our technicians.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly Assist with the removal of hazardous materials and ensure proper disposal Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed Monitor and report any facility maintenance issues Forklift operation Organize/rearrange Service parking lot as needed Assist with preparation for inclement weather
Requirements:
Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices
