Project Custodian Position Available In Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut

Project Custodian SMG Corporate Services Bridgeport, CT 06604 SMG is looking for a Part-time, experienced custodian on care floors to work in a office environment on the second shift. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00PM PM to 10:00 PM.

General Custodian Duties include:

Sweep, mop, clean counters, stove, and wipe down walls in kitchen areas. Dry, mop, spot clean floors, covering emergencies clean up at campus wide. Pull/push janitor cart with all cleaning supplies up to 30 pounds.

Care floors may include:

buffing, burnishing, stripping, and waxing. Carpet Shampoo, extraction, bonnet on carpets. High and low dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors when required and instructed. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Tasks may be modified based on building & client needs. Not limited to additional supervisor’s instructions or client’s requests.

Requirements:

Able to lift/carry/push or pull items up to 50 pounds. Able to work with backpack vacuums.

Experience in care floors:

Buffing, stripping, burnishing, and waxing.
