INTERNAL CAREER SITE
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for cleaning all floors, ceiling and walls.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
includes but not limited to:
Cleans various types of carpets and floors, including stone, marble, granite, tile, VCT and wood using appropriate chemicals and equipment
Responsible for the storage and handling of department supplies
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment after use
Removes, transports and arranges office furniture, as needed
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of all carpet care, floor maintenance and heavy duty techniques and equipment
Knowledge of lifting techniques and related equipment
Competencies:
Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Good verbal communication skills
Proper use of chemicals and the ability to determine which chemical and equipment is appropriate for each task
Understands and practices safe cleaning procedures with emphasis on eliminating cross contamination and safety
Training Requirements:
Knowledge of procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Completes EVS Training Module which includes proper use of chemicals and safety procedures
Knowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens procedures and precautions
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, bend and walk large areas of the casino property for extended periods of time
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
