Custodian – Maintenance Everyone Rides 110 SW 11th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order on two small campuses, ensuring that all areas are safe, sanitary, and welcoming. This role requires a strong commitment to quality cleaning standards and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial, industrial, and residential settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, window cleaning. Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing and floor care techniques. Conduct thorough custodial duties such as restroom sanitation, trash removal, and surface cleaning. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a safe environment like leaf blowing, spill cleanup, securing broken items. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain an organized supply area. Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness across all facilities (instruct teachers to have students maintain classroom, and stack chairs on desk every day (if possible)). Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleaning standards. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required for cleaning tasks. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety in all areas.
