The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position is essential to the overall efficiency of our culinary operations and contributes significantly to our commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are organized and stored properly. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required, willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
