Janitor – Maintenance 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 5250 NW 33rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. This role is crucial in providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently.

Duties:

Gather and empty trash. Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Clean restrooms and stock them with supplies. Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment. Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or with hand trucks. Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent. Reliable and punctual. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Follows written and verbal instructions. Collaborates with other janitors and maintenance workers as needed. Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs. Ability to keep an organized record of cleaning supply inventory Work in a fast-paced environment.
