• Fort Lauderdale, a leader in the fitness industry with a long-standing commitment to providing a premium service and upscale amenities to all members and guests, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have the skills, willingness, and ability to perform a wide variety of janitorial and maintenance duties in order to aid in maintaining the our fitness club located inside the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial services to the club.
• Duties to include but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and vacuuming; Gather and empty trash.

Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and lubricate fitness equipment and machinery Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Make adjustments and minor repairs, as needed (i.e. replacing/adjusting bolts and screws, adjusting door handles, etc.). Mix water and cleaning chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications and regulations of each cleaning product. Polish floors. Clean and restore building interiors damaged by normal wear & tear, using commercial cleaning equipment. Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to the building’s equipment and oneself. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Clear and dispose of trash and debris from floor and hallways. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs and issues that may arise. Wash and maintain entrance and exit mats. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Perform additional duties as directed by the assigned recreation department supervisor. Experience
