Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman & Custodial Maintenance Technician to join our team at a residential treatment facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general repairs, facility upkeep, and custodial tasks, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform interior and exterior painting to maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout the facility. Conduct routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces. Execute floor care tasks such as stripping, buffing, and waxing to maintain cleanliness and safety. Complete minor repairs, general maintenance, and preventative upkeep on facility equipment and property. Provide porter services, including waste removal and upkeep of outdoor spaces such as walkways, patios, and entryways. Assist with occasional industrial and commercial-level cleaning tasks in compliance with health and safety regulations. Respond promptly and professionally to work orders or maintenance issues reported by staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in residential painting with a focus on clean, detailed work. Knowledge of floor care and proper maintenance of various surface types. Prior experience in custodial and janitorial services with strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation. Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general handyman repairs. Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, floor machines, and cleaning equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
