Under the direction of the project manager, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for office buildings and related areas. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Responsibilities and duties of this position include: Essential functions Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing of flooring and stairs Clean and sanitize bathrooms Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary. Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Collect recyclable materials and take to appropriate area to be sorted. Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills, and windows, stairwells. Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner. Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times. Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. Report any damage to cleaning equipment. Report maintenance needs to project manager or supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to follow oral instructions Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of MSD’s or willing to learn. Good client/customer service skills Good communication and interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
