QC/Food Safety Manager Experience:
Janitorial is a highly focused position that builds and maintains a team to ensure that the warehouse/offices are kept in a clean and orderly condition. To create and maintain a safe, clean, highly organized, team-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to become involved in improving daily operations. Position requires a hands-on approach to maintain accurate control of cleaning and Food Safety processes for the plant. Responsible for adherence to food safety procedures to be administered throughout the plant in every department. Demonstrated skills in the area of cleaning and food safety control.

Major Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment through compliance with safety/food safety rules and procedures. Notify Lead or QC/Food Safety Manager of any concerning repairs or any safety issues. Monitor cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment. Notify Lead or QC/Food Safety Manager of needed supplies or cleaning equipment. Follow all cleaning procedures. Monitor that all cleaning equipment is properly labeled and in the proper location . Understanding, evaluating, and executing cleaning and food safety procedures properly . Promote an environment that fosters responsibility for quality at all levels of the entire Janitorial team. Improve current methods , processes, or conditions to have continued improvement. Maintain accurate record-keeping for the department. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing (operating floor scrubber), or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash, cigarette butt cans. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean break rooms, coolers, and microwaves, according to our procedures. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, rails throughout warehouse, mirrors. Dust and clean furniture, walls, equipment , and machines. Mix water and chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Making sure secondary containers are properly labeled. Clean sidewalks, outside rails, parking areas, signs, guard shack, outside break areas. Clean warehouse floors in/around/under racks. Clean spider webs throughout the entire warehouse, high and low areas. Operating a scissor lift, a Boom lift. Clean tin cats in/outside the warehouse. Clean and sanitize wash stations, eyewash stations, water fountains, and door handles. Follow all safety, food safety policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to: Work an 8 to 12 hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods. Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Visually read various safety postings, bulletin boards, operating instructions, and computer monitors I screens. Hear safety warning devices and alarms. Needs to possess adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in a manufacturing environment.
