Full time Maintenance/Custodian Diplomat Beach Resort 3155 Gulf Of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL 34228 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Maintenance/Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors. While also assisting guests and owners with small maintenance related tasks. This position is great daytime hours, working from 9am to 5pm , no nights required. However, weekend and holiday hours are required for this position . Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Pool area upkeep (cleaning tables, chairs, decking, fencing, showers, etc.) Pool room upkeep (cleaning stairs, equipment checks, etc.) • Pool chemicals taken care of by a technician and not required for this position. Keep all walkways, stairwells, and parking lot clean and clear of debris Straighten and clean all lawn furniture, door mats, and tiki huts Trash removal from all bins on property and moved to the dumpsters for pickup Clean buildings, signs, light fixtures, railings, windows, etc. Lock all staff related areas at the end of each day (shop, linen, pool room, etc.) Maintain property a/c air filters and be able to diagnose small a/c issues • A/C repairs taken care of by a technician and not required for this position Check light fixtures and exit signs for functionality Maintain cleanliness of common areas (laundry rooms, shop, linen room, etc.) Keep seawall clear of sand and sand off the property/grass Install and maintain sand fence on the beach Clean garbage cans and dumpster areas Property paint touch-ups as needed Plumbing and electrical assessments • Most plumbing and electrical taken care of by a technician and not required for this position Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager Make local trips to hardware store as needed Experience / Job requirements A high school diploma or equivalent Fluent English Previous experience in maintenance or custodial is preferred but not required The ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
