Position Summary:

An Interior specialist duties and responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing of all company vehicles, which include appliances, bathrooms, floors, inside and outside cabinets and drawers. Requires the safe operation of company vehicles and adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Responsible for ensuring all company assets meet and exceed cleaning inspections and documentation of daily cleaning. Ability to effectively communicate in person and via phone or radio, ensuring all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality, in a timely manner. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will work under the direction of the Reconditioning Manager and applicable Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and reconditions the interior of assets using provided tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Cleans all appliances, facilities, cabinets, and drawers inside assets.
• Clean windshields, windows, and mirrors on the interior of buses.
• Complete miscellaneous cleaning throughout the dealership as needed.
• Cleans drivers’ compartment, this includes wiping dust and debris from seat, dash, gauges, and knobs on applicable assets.
• Reports any maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
• Report any vehicle damage to the Supervisor.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets and all other safety training materials provided.
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning products.
• Strong attention to details.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Operate a two-way radio.
• Ability to maintain accurate and complete records of bus cleaning2 logs.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and accompanying tools/chemicals necessary to complete a job.
• Ability to perform a thorough inspection of each company vehicle.
• Understand vehicle operating procedures including how to properly turn off buses.

Work Environment:

• The usual customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands: significant carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, reaching, some climbing and balancing, some lifting, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard cleaning supplies.
• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to clean.
• Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
• Lifting of objects.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
