The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks that ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. The Custodian will be responsible for both routine and specialized cleaning duties inside the hospital and the surrounding exterior. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented cleaner to join our team during evening hours on weekdays and afternoon hours on Saturdays . This position plays a key role in keeping our hospital in top shape, though it does not involve any direct animal handling .
Responsibilities:
Interior Cleaning Duties:
Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floors Dust surfaces, including furniture, counters, and fixtures Clean and sanitize exam rooms, restrooms, and common areas Take out trash and recycling Wipe down walls, doors, and windows as needed Clean up any pet-related messes (e.g., urine or feces) left from the day
Exterior Cleaning Duties:
Pick up pet waste from grassy or gravel areas outside Sweep walkways, entryways, and parking lot edges Maintain a clean and tidy appearance around the building
Additional Responsibilities:
Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when low Keep exam rooms and supply areas tidy and organized Report maintenance needs or facility issues
Experience:
Prior cleaning experience preferred but not required Must be comfortable working in a facility where animals are present (but no animal handling required) Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail Able to work independently and stay on task Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs., bend, kneel, and be on your feet during the shift Reliable and punctual We encourage candidates who are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and who take pride in their work to apply for this position.
