COUNTER CLERK DUTIES AT CELMAS DRY CLEANERS

When a customer walks into Celmas dry cleaners,our responsibility is to make the best first impression and prioritize the customers needs. Plant- places clothes gets sent to be dry cleaned

MAIN CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee should promptly greet the customer and provide professional service Answer the telephone and communicate with the plants as well as customers Help customers who are dropping off clothes to be dry cleaned or laundered. Inspect for defects and spots. Separate them according to type such as shirts, slacks, dresses, etc. as well as by fabric type for items that need special care Compute sales prices, total purchases, receive and process cash/credit payment. Once the clerk processes the payment, the customer is given a copy of the ticket and told what day the clothes will be ready to be picked up Tag the incoming garments with the number that matches the ticket and separate them to be processed for each plant Pressing some clothing items such as polos, jeans, dresses Once the order is assembled, place it in the rack in alphabetical order; ready to be picked up.

Customer pick up:

Check the ticket and make sure all the items are included, count the items before handing them to the customer, inform them if there are any issues with their special request.

WASH AND FOLD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive customer clothes, weigh them by the pound, follow the prices given by the manager, ALWAYS charge the customer at the time of drop off, hand the customer the ticket Separate the wash and fold by dark and white colors and load them into the washing machine. When the clothes are done washing put them into the drier machine. Once it is dried fold them, bag them and place the bag in the area designed ready for pick up.

CLOSING STORE

Sweep the floor of the entire store Take out all the trash bags Shut down the computer system/taking order station Make sure the back door is locked and nothing is left on (including iron) Turn off the lights, turn sign over to closed, lock store front door on way out
