RESPONSIBILITIES

Amer-Plus Janitorial Maintenance is currently looking for a dedicated Janitorial Supervisor to help provide cleaning services to our community base. As a supervisor, you will play an integral part in leading and ensuring a healthier space to the communities we serve. Under the general direction of the Area Manager the primary responsibilities of the Supervisor are to professionally and courteously greet, direct and assist clients and manage cleaning specialist or perform cleaning tasks at their assigned accounts; Perform cleaning tasks including but not limited to; trash removal; dusting; cleaning and restocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms, coffee centers; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming; window washing; replacing light bulbs; other project work/special services duties assigned. Perform building walk-throughs and quality control inspections. Provide quality customer relations for customers including resolving any complaints, concerns or questions from clients. Serve as a liaison between cleaning staff, clients and other staff personnel. Set deadlines and ensure completion.

Responsible for operational activity:

planning, directing, organizing and controlling all production. Schedule work and provide overall account management. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment and ensure their proper use. Screen, interview and hire job applicants. Perform orientations and training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Able to effectively demonstrate customer service skills. Able to train and direct the work to staff effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize, organize and perform workload Knowledge of and ability to safely operate machinery, tools, equipment and materials work according to OSHA standards. Timeliness Ability to work a flexible schedule

Requirements:

Reliable Transportation Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to enroll in Direct Deposit Must have cleaning leadership experience These responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may vary among accounts, depending on business necessities, client, and industry requirements.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with scheduling software and inventory management systems. Knowledge of green cleaning practices and sustainability initiatives. Spanish or Haitian Creole speaking is a plus!

Physical Demands:

The ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods This position requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting over 30 pounds There is possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment The ability to use motorized equipment The ability to perform duties both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions including heat and cold A criminal background check and drug screen is required as part of the pre-employment process.
