This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. The Day Porter will ensure that all areas are well-kept, providing a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills and a commitment to excellence in service. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces. Assist with residential painting and touch-ups as needed to keep facilities looking fresh. Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, restocking supplies as necessary. Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the facility. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management. Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or porter roles preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment. Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving equipment or supplies. A commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining a positive environment.
