The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Assist with residential painting projects as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes. Carry out industrial cleaning duties, adhering to safety protocols and standards. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues that require attention. Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and other high-traffic zones. Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Follow established procedures for waste disposal and recycling. Qualifications Previous experience as a Porter or in a similar custodial role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment, including floor care machinery. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment. Willingness to learn new skills related to facilities maintenance and cleaning practices.
