PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring the building is clean and sanitized for all.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Spot cleans and shampoos as necessary. Cleans, dusts, and polishes furniture. fixtures, counters, walls, and other hard surface furniture. Cleans and disinfects all health center surfaces using germicides. Empty trash and recycling containers and transport them to the dumpsters. Cleans trash receptacles Cleans and maintains interior and exterior walkways. Collects regulated medical waste and prepares for vendor pickup. Cleans floor mats. Washes windows and mirrors. Defrosts office refrigerators, cleaning the inside of microwave ovens, refrigerators, kitchen sinks, and counter surfaces. Replaces light bulbs and reports needed repairs to the supervisor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies Assist other departments in relocating any furniture or equipment, as well as assemble new furniture. Perform or assist with the setup and breakdown for meetings and events and any other activity required. Transport him/herself to other agency departments, conference rooms, and, on occasion, off-site agency locations to accomplish job responsibilities, as well as attend meetings, workshops, seminars, etc. Accomplish job duties using various equipment/supplies e.g. pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboard, telephone, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree or GED equivalent required. Effective oral and written communication skills commensurate with the responsibilities of the position are required. A minimum of 6 months prior related experience preferred. Will provide on-the-job training. Ability to present a professional image of the organization to members of the community. Valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods standing. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
