Janitorial Associate Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Associate to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the residential community. The role involves routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance across various common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Office & Administrative Areas:

Sweep and mop floors (including under desks). Dust and polish desks and furniture. Clean interior and exterior windows. Empty trash and sanitize high-touch surfaces.

Recreational Rooms:

Billiards Room:

Sweep/vacuum under furniture, clean blinds/windows, carefully wipe pool tables, disinfect shared equipment weekly.

Fitness Room:

Empty trash, refill sanitizing wipes, wipe down machines, clean mirrors and floors, sanitize touchpoints.

Lobby & Hallways:

Dust all surfaces and decorative items. Remove outdated materials (e.g., newspapers). Align furniture, sweep/mop thoroughly, clean glass doors, remove cobwebs. Restrooms (Men’s & Women’s): Restock paper goods and soap. Clean/disinfect partitions, toilets, urinals, showers, and saunas. Sanitize countertops, sinks, and mirrors; scrub floors and empty all bins. Afternoon floor mopping in Men’s restroom.

Community Spaces:

Kitchen:

Sanitize all surfaces, clean fridge weekly, mop floors, clean sink/appliances, check supply stock.

Library:

Clean/polish furniture, dust blinds/shelves, clean windows and trim.

Ballroom:

Setup/breakdown furniture, sanitize tables (esp. Fridays), sweep floors, clean windows/stage/door tracks, organize storage.

Pool Deck:

Clean outdoor showers, sanitize furniture, leaf blow debris, clean glass doors, scrub buildup.

Mail Kiosk:

Empty trash bins, clean fixtures, sweep area.

Additional Duties:

Complete tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, including cleaning light globes, lollipop lights, removing palm fronds, and maintaining fence/debris areas (gloves required).

Qualifications:

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good communication and time management skills.
