Upper Broward and Palm Beach County Job Overview:

Busy Brooms Commercial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team in providing exceptional janitorial cleaning and building maintenance services in South Florida. As a Janitor/Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for various facilities and providing support to other cleaning technicians. The Janitorial Technician / Working Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assist in training new employees; supervising and directing work; inventory control, act as liaison between cleaners and upper management. Must be bilingual – English/Spanish Inspects completed work for compliance with Company standards. Reassigns duties as necessary to meet unforeseen circumstances and assures that all assigned facilities and equipment are ready for use. Respond to special requests for services in a timely manner. Report any employee issues/problems to Operatins Management. Reviews and approves employee’s hours worked on company time keeping system. Must conform to uniform codes and enforce it on all employees. Follow work schedule provided by Company Policy. Complete inspection reports. Receives, maintains, and stores all supplies and equipment. Supervises and participates in cleaning duties as outlined in Contracts and Scope of Work. Inform Operations Manager of any damage to facilities and equipment. Performs all related duties as assigned. Attend any training classes or supervisor meetings. Must be able to workdays – evenings preferably Train and assist new employees, supervise and participate in extras such as floor scrubbing, carpets cleaning and window cleaning and pressure cleaning. Janitorial Technician / Supervisor must possess knowledge of: Proper cleaning or polishing agents to use on various types of surfaces, including metals, woodwork, floors, and floor coverings. Building facilities Safety ordinances and regulations affecting cleaning equipment, and safe work practices in janitorial and cleaning activities. Janitorial Technician / Supervisor must have the ability to: Use custodial and cleaning supplies and equipment and instruct others in their use. Supervise the work of others. Follow work schedules provided by company. Complete weekly inspections Use power equipment and hand tools necessary for floor and facility maintenance. Work harmoniously with subordinates as well as upper management and company clients.

Physical Requirements:

Safely lift and move heavy supplies and equipment. Stand and walk for long periods of time. Supervises and coordinates activities of cleaners responsible for cleaning and maintaining facilities.

Education/Experience:

Two years janitorial/cleaning experience. Two years previous management/supervisor experience is a must.

Job Type:

Part-time Pay:

$15.00 – $17.00 per hour
