Ideal candidate and must be able to work a flexible schedule. Duties:
Greet and welcome customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner. Identify the service advisor with which they have an appointment. Place an identification number on the vehicles that is marked to identify the proper service salesperson. Install seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats an I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service. Inspect and record on the repair order any vehicle damage present when the vehicle is taken in for service. Drive vehicles from service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot. Ensure all vehicles are securely locked and keys are taken to proper location in shop. Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner. Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department. Operate the overhead doors as needed to assist customers or service employees and to maintain the best possible shop working environment. Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the cashier. Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been done during the vehicle’s stay in the service department. Report any damage to management immediately. Prior to returning a completed vehicle to a customer, remove seat cover, steering wheel cover, floor mats and any and all tags installed for service. When delivering completed vehicles to their owners, thank them in a friendly and courteous manner and let them know we appreciate their business. Remain in the service write-up area unless performing the tasks specified in this job description. Immediately report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealerships, it’s employees, or its customers. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Other duties as assigned by
