Portfolio Manager or Team Lead SUMMARY:

This position will perform Custodian work at the assigned location. The Day Porter will clean all areas of the facility by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Company. Must observe the uniform policy at all times.
  • Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
  • Cleans and dusts surfaces, moves furniture when is needed or as instructed in order to clean the assigned areas. Mop and sweep all assigned areas on a daily basis.
  • Clean and disinfect areas as assigned or as instructed in the scope of services.
  • Collects both recycle and non-recyclable waste and replace trash can liners.
  • Account areas should be periodically cleaned using germicidal and cleaner disinfectant’s.
  • Full vacuuming will be done on a daily basis or as instructed by the scope of services.
  • Clean and/or polish tables, benches, elevators doors, mirrors/entry glass doors or windows and chairs according to the scope of services.
  • Remove cobwebs if necessary or as instructed according to scope of services.
  • Takes trash to assigned areas.
  • Locks and unlocks doors and windows of assigned areas as necessary. If instructed turns off lights when rooms are unoccupied.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms on a daily basis and utilizing the proper cleaning products.
  • Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.
  • Maintain confidentiality according to Policies.
  • Reports to the Team Lead or Portfolio Manager any hazards as appropriate.
  • Clean, re-stock cafeteria supplies, take out the trash and reset chairs and tables in the assigned area (particularly before and after busy times).
  • Re-stock cafeteria supplies in restrooms as necessary along with kitchen/coffee stations and breakrooms.
  • Remove trash and debris from all entrances.
  • Police and maintain external areas, if applicable.
  • Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
  • Remove or warn of safety hazards, such as objects in the way of pedestrians or wet floors.
  • Cleaning carts will not be left unattended.
  • Custodial closets or assigned storage areas will remain clean, organized and locked at all times.
  • Keep hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment, products or tools.
  • Leave your work area or equipment clean and ready for the next day.
  • Must be able to adapt to last minute changes concerning account location, account requirements, last minute projects or assignments. Changes of schedule or work areas.
  • Team member will perform duties in numerous buildings as assigned (if applicable).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Apply common sense understanding to follow instructions that were provided.
  • Must be able to communicate properly and understand all necessary procedures.
  • Ability to understand all label written specifications of all products that are being used at the account for cleaning, sanitizing or disinfectant purposes.
TYPE OF CHEMICALS USED
  • We utilize Green Cleaning Products and site specific cleaning products such as grout cleaners, deodorizers, germicidal cleaners, glass cleaners, disinfectants, stain removers, stainless steel polish products and furniture polishes and oils.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bend, Carry, Kneel, Pull and Push, Squat, Twist, Walking, Grasp, Lift floor to Waist, Lift overhead in a 4, 6 or 8 hour shift as necessary.
  • Adapt to work under an indoor or outdoor environment.
  • Adapt to work under all type of weather conditions.
  • Be able to work under a fast paced environment.
