Position Overview The Cleanroom Cleaner in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sterility, and contamination control within cleanroom facilities. This role is critical to ensuring that all manufacturing practices comply with regulatory standards such as FDA, cGMP, and USP guidelines. The Cleanroom Cleaner performs routine and specialized cleaning tasks to uphold a controlled, sterile environment essential for the production of sterile IV fluids and bags in a 503B outsourcing facility setting. Key Responsibilities Execute cleaning and sanitization protocols within designated cleanroom areas according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP policies. Use appropriate cleaning agents, disinfectants, tools, and techniques designed for sterile environments to effectively remove contaminants and residues. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as wiping, mopping, scrubbing, and equipment cleaning to maintain ISO-classified cleanroom standards. Monitor and document cleaning activities, ensuring compliance with hygiene and contamination control standards. Manage and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for cleanroom work. Adhere strictly to gowning procedures and wear appropriate PPE, including gowning, masking, and gloves, to prevent contamination. Identify and report any irregularities or potential contamination risks to supervisors or quality assurance. Assist with routine environmental monitoring and quality control testing as directed. Support training initiatives by learning and applying updated cleaning protocols and contamination prevention techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in all assigned areas. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training in cleaning or sterile environments is a plus. Prior experience in pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or sterile manufacturing cleaning preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures and documentation protocols. Ability to work in a sterile environment wearing full cleanroom attire (PPE) for extended periods. Basic communication skills to understand and follow SOPs and report issues effectively. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Ability to lift or move cleaning equipment and supplies, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Work in controlled, sterile environments with exposure to chemical cleaning agents.
