POSITION PURPOSE
The PM Powerwash/Blowpack Crew members are responsible for operating high-pressure washing systems to clean large areas such as buildings, walkways, etc. to ensure cleanliness throughout the park and they assist with closing down the park each evening.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Use pressure washers and low-pressure cleaning equipment to clean sidewalks, walls, building facades, dumpster pads, curbs and other surfaces. Use backpack and ride-on blowers to clear all surfaces of debris Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies Checks to makes sure there is adequate water supply to properly operate powerwash equipment Maintains work areas in a neat and efficient manner, assuring equipment and tools are properly stored after each project is completed Specifically trained to clean surfaces to remove dirt, spills, gum, surface staining, mildew, insect presence, etc. Keep all park areas (including back of house) clean and clear to ensure no slip-and-fall opportunities Maintains park cleanliness by picking up trash in all outdoor spaces Report maintenance issues Reads and comprehends safety data sheets for all chemicals and uses them according to directions Uses proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed Communicates with all park guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience At least one year of industry experience with high-pressure equipment preferred Prior experience with handling of cleaning chemicals Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision Enthusiastic and positive energy Attention to detail and ability to exceed quality standards Multi-tasking ability Requirements Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the park’s insurance carrier Ability to walk around in a 168-acre park.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is outdoor in heat, though cold weather work may be necessary depending on the season. The candidate must be able to adapt to multiple weather conditions as it could change throughout the day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include but are not limited to being able to lift up to 35 pounds, able to bend, stretch and twist, kneel, be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs. They must be able to work with chemicals according to the directions and be able to work outside in high temperatures as needed. Additionally, employee must possess dexterity to operate standard cleaning equipment and drive a golf cart.
