Cleaners J & D Building Services Saint Augustine, FL 32084 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Maintain cleanliness through regular dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Assist with residential painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities. Provide porter services by managing waste disposal and maintaining outdoor areas. Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning duties in accordance with safety protocols. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing is a plus. Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness while working independently or as part of a team.
