AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach The community you’ll be caring for: 605 LIVE OAK ST, New Smyrna Beach, 32168 The role you’ll contribute: Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, is responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital in all patient, public and ancillary areas and the distribution and delivery of clean linen. Includes any other areas as may be assigned in accordance with the mission, goals and policies of the Environmental Services Department. The value you’ll bring to the team: + Ensures a safe, clean and well-maintained facility on a daily basis. Schedules staff for daily assignments, classroom/ event set ups and projects as required by Florida Hospital departments. + Is responsible for the cleanliness of patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms. Performs floor care in assigned areas, i.e. dust mopping, damp mopping, scrubbing, striping and recoating, spray buffing and carpet shampooing. + Performs quality assurance checks in assigned locations. Observes staff for compliance with instructions and safety rules. Records from employee work sheets any problems found while cleaning and follows up with appropriate action. Makes daily contact with departments to assure that no problems are overlooked according to established procedures. + Administrative duties include but are not limited to: compiling data, scheduling, writing reports, corresponding via email, fax, radio or phone, providing input for employee evaluations and counseling and ordering supplies. + Adjusts personal schedule to meet department demands with very short notice or no notification. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: + Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. + At least two years of previous Environmental Services experience Preferred qualifications:
