Heal St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Part-Time Custodian to join our team. This position is responsible for performing light janitorial and housekeeping duties at our main service campus. As a provider of essential “safety net” services—including rent, utility, food, and medication assistance—we rely on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our neighbors in need.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general custodial duties including: Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, tables and other high touch areas Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors Cleaning carpets and windows Emptying trash and recycling bins Picking up litter on the premises Addressing other routine cleaning needs as they arise Handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely and efficiently Conduct light maintenance and repair assignments including toilet repairs, paint touchups and furniture assembly Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and arrange for restock as needed Assist with event set up and break down as needed Conduct end-of-shift security checks to ensure the building is properly secured Confirm that all staff and clients have exited the building; escort staff to the parking area when needed Interact respectfully with neighbors and staff, representing the organization in a professional and courteous manner Support the mission and values of a Catholic, faith-based nonprofit organization

Qualifications:

Prior experience in custodial or janitorial services preferred Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks a plus Strong sense of responsibility and reliability; punctual and dependable Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Capable of interacting with the public in a calm and respectful manner Must be comfortable working in a faith-based environment and representing the mission of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values service, takes pride in maintaining clean and safe spaces, and is looking for consistent evening work with a meaningful organization.
