Janitorial Citizens Christian Academy Douglas, GA 31535 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students, staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on floor care, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing floors to maintain a polished appearance. Conduct thorough custodial duties in a school setting, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained. Assist with porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment as needed to facilitate cleaning tasks. Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Follow established protocols for hazardous materials handling and disposal when necessary. Experience Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and facilities maintenance is a plus.
