As a Janitorial, you will be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Utilizes ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, blinds and select equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts light fixtures and ceiling vents. Removes stains from surfaces such as carpet, drapes/shades, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Prepares cleaning solutions according to specifications. Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors. Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including spot treatment. Gathers trash and empties it into appropriate trash and recycling bins. Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms. Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly; maintains equipment in good working condition. Monitors building security and safety by locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliances to prevent hazards. Drives vehicles (if required) to travel to other facilities for cleaning, including vans, industrial trucks, golf carts, or industrial vacuum cleaners. Provides special cleaning and support during client events, as needed. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High school Diploma or GED. Around 3 or more years of relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is desired. Knowledge of applicable safety policies and procedures (SDS, OSHA). Can obtain a security access badge at our client’s location. Can work an alternative schedule to include weekends and some holidays. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is Preferred. This is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity.
