Job Summary Details:

The Utility person provides the cleaning and maintaining carpets and hard surface floors. Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 6pm-10pm. Pay rate starting at $16.00/hr. Must be able to pass ABM and Client background Screenings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Utility/Floor tech experience
• 1 year of similar work experience The Utility/Floor Tech position provides the cleaning and maintaining carpets and hard surface floors clean.

Essential Functions:

• Floor person is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning.
• Responsible for using safety measures in work areas.
• Duties also include assisting the Building/Account Lead with special projects including but not limited to, setups, breakdowns, move in/ move outs).
• Floor Tech must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Responsibilities Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Completes assigned stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning of floors. Assists with special projects within the account as needed. Willing to complete other duties as assigned. Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities Responsible for using safety measures in work areas. Assists in emergencies as needed. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
