Department Information University Operations Job Summary This position assists the Inventory & Quality Control Coordinator by stocking and maintaining custodial closets, dispensers, equipment, and storage cages across two campuses. The Inventory Clerk also assists with inventory forecasting, training student assistant and part-time workers, and overall inventory control and tracking. This position requires individuals to be able to repeatedly bend and regularly lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs. This position requires that an individual can occasionally lift 30-100 lbs. Responsibilities Significant Duties and Responsibilities include: Check and stock all custodial supply closets on both the Main and RiverPark campuses according to preset standards.; Assist custodial teams with refilling sanitation stations and all mounted and freestanding dispensers on both campuses, including those in restrooms.; Track incoming and outgoing inventory usage through established software programs and practices. Inventory includes but is not limited to cleaning chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning equipment and supplies, table linens, etc.; Work with Inventory & Quality Control Coordinator to forecast inventory demands based on previous usage trends.; Maintain working custodial equipment across both campuses and take equipment for repairs and/or preventative maintenance as needed.; Use an iPad or other non-complex computer to complete work orders, send updates via email, and take pictures as requested or required.; Move pallets of supplies from the warehouse and properly stock them in storage.; Follow all previously established inventory control procedures and work with supervisors to update procedures as needed.; Train student assistant and part-time workers in proper inventory control procedures and best practices.; Assists in completing workloads for assigned buildings as needed.; Responds to custodial emergencies as needed.; Serve as a brand ambassador of University Operations and Columbus State University.; Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications include:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to three years of related custodial experience and/or training. Proposed Salary The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $27,836 – 29,816 and includes full benefits. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive university vehicles, including but not limited to cargo vans, trucks, and golf carts.; Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell.; Considerable knowledge of proper custodial services practices, techniques, and procedures.; Considerable knowledge of the operations and use of equipment, tools, and supplies used in custodial maintenance.; Ability to occasionally lift 30-100 pounds.; Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.; Must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
