This includes daily cleaning tasks, event setup and takedown, minor maintenance, and ensuring all areas are presentable for worship services and church activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, sanctuary, offices, classrooms, and common areas regularly.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and perform general floor care.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
- Set up and break down rooms for services, meetings, and special events.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning and restroom supplies.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains).
- Report major repair needs or safety concerns to church leadership.
- Lock and unlock the building for events as needed.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or lawn care (if applicable).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
