Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Dealership Porter at Moss Motors, Inc. will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership’s vehicle inventory and overall dealership appearance. This is a full-time, hourly position, located in Lafayette, Louisiana. As an individual contributor, the Dealership Porter will play a crucial role in ensuring the dealership presents a professional and welcoming environment for both customers and employees.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $10 to $14 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The pay will be biweekly, and full-time employees are eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
Responsibilities:
Keep the dealership lot and showroom clean and organized, including sweeping, dusting, and trash removal Ensure vehicles on the lot are lined up and parked according to dealership standards Drive vehicles to other dealership locations or customer locations as needed Maintain showroom display vehicles by dusting, wiping down, and adding necessary fluids Retrieve customer vehicles from the service department and park them in designated areas Assist with snow removal during inclement weather Keep the service drive clean and clear of any debris or obstructions Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low Participate in regular dealership and lot clean-up days as scheduled Follow all safety and company policies and procedures, including OSHA and EPA guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask Detail-oriented with strong organization and time-management skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor such as shoveling snow or moving vehicles Prior experience in the automotive industry is a plus, but not required
