Custodian Cypress Solutions LLC Belle Chasse, LA 70037 Overview Cypress Solutions is a multifaceted service provider specializing in commercial janitorial services, disaster relief, and preventative maintenance for a diverse clientele. As a custodian you will ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and properly maintained, including but not limited to activities such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and/or vacuuming floors. Daily Duties and Responsibilities Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning duties. Gathers and empties trash. Clean baseboards. Sweep and mop floors with detergent and disinfectant. Strip, scrub and spray wax floors. Clean and polish all metal works. Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities. Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment. Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies. Notifies manager regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. Qualifications/Skills Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules Ability to lift heavy objects Education and Experience Requirements At least 5 years of janitorial experience High school diploma or equivalent Basic math skills Join us in creating a clean and inviting atmosphere that enhances the experience of everyone who enters our facilities!
